ALC Global Partners LLC is an import and trading company based in Kansas City, Kansas. Our aim is to offer high-quality products and services at wholesale prices.
Our members spread over three continents: Kansas City, USA, London, UK and Suzhou, China.
Our company is a combination of two family businesses and works primarily in two languages: Mandarin and English

Yefei brings a strong expertise in working with companies to optimize their overseas sourcing functions. Prior to ALC Global Partners, Yefei worked as an associate for McKinsey & Company in Germany. His expertise comes in a broad range of sectors including consumer products, telecommunications, pharma, automotive and aerospace & defense. He has worked in several regions including Europe, N. America, and Asia (China).

Prior to ALC, Caroline worked for 5 years as a regional manager for a major international cosmetics packaging company in China. Currently, Caroline coordinates and supervises ALC clients production, negotiation, and quality control in China. She leads our Chinese presence and serves as our local expert.
As a partner of ALC Global Partners, Andrea brings a deep expertise working directly with Chinese suppliers and intermediaries. Her knowledge of bridging western business practices of her European and American suppliers is invaluable in ensuring a smooth and efficient supply chain. Prior to ALC, Andrea spent over 2 years in China working directly with manufacturers. She has a strong network in this area.
Services
Importing Products
Importing from Asia is a relatively simple process:
1. Send us prints, pictures, and specifications, or a prototype of the product you wish to import. Through our sources in China, we will locate a reliable manufacturer who can produce your product, and provide you with a quote. Prices are quoted FOB for nearest Chinese port. Having a reliable manufacturer is very important to your trade experience.
2. Once you are satisfied with the samples, you can place a production order. Usually you must place a deposit of 30 % of the total cost to begin production. If desired, quality control can be arragned.
3. Once the production is complete, the items are shipped to their desination via sea or air freight. At the desination, the buyer must pay the necessary customs and freight fees.
Manufacturing Support
ALC offers a variety of services for companies manufacturing in China.
a) Vendor selection: ALC works with the client to narrow down a list of potential suppliers/partners for their manufacturing using a set of determined criteria. Its goal is to build long-lasting and trustworthy relationships that require less maintainance work in the long run.
b) Negotiation: ALCs Chinese representatives are able to use local expertise and language to negotiate the best (non-western) fees and delivery terms. They will also setup the contract terms in a way that minimizes the risk of suppliers changing prices mid-contract.
c) Sampling: ALC will liase to have production samples provided to the American customer to test functionality, design characteristics, chemical content and compliance with US safety standards.
d) Site visit support: ALC serves as the one point of contact in arranging site visits for potential clients. This includes arranging local travel arrangements via private car and setting appointments with multiple potenial suppliers and partners.
e) Sourcing support: ALC will liase with the current suppliers/new suppliers to in support of day to day activities such as product design, specification setting, and issue resolution. ALC will serve as a first point of contact and also manage the flow of raw materials to the suppliers if applicable.
f) Production: ALC will monitor factory production by making pre-arranged site visits at key time-intervals to the local factories. This includes an initial detailed inspection of production capabilities and production line setup.
g) Quality: ALC works with the client to determine the specific quality control needs whether they involve final product inspection at supplier location, regular sample factory check, or a tailored inspection proceedure jointly created with the customer.
h) Shipping: ALC determines the most efficient shipping options, depending on volume, speed needs, and cost. This could mean DHL, Fedex small business, or container transportation. Products are guided through the maze of customs, warehousing, and delivery.
i) Storage: ALC will help arrange for the temporary or longer term storage of products in China to reduce cost and/or enable additional flexibility with local control of products.

How long does it take to get a quote?
On average, about 1-2 weeks after our people in China receive all the information on your product.
Do we have a minimum order amount?
The minimum order quantity depends on the item being manufactured. For most products this is around 3,000 units.
Once the order is placed, how long does it take to receive the shipment?
After sample approval, it can take 30-45 days to make a production run. Sea and inland freight transit time can take 4-6 weeks. For repeat orders or for items the factory is already making, the factory can start making your items as soon as there is free space in the production schedule.
What are the total costs involved in importing?
